Trail’s End Retreats was born from a deep-rooted tradition of community, camaraderie, and unforgettable summers.

For over 75 years, people from all over the world have passed through our gates to connect—to nature, to others, and to themselves. What began as a premier summer camp has grown into a unique space for retreats, celebrations, and reconnection. We have two distinct locations to suit your needs—Trail’s End and Chestnut Lake.

Built by generations of family, our grounds are steeped in history—from rustic cabins to modern, expansive facilities under twinkle-lit skies. Today, we continue that legacy by offering meaningful experiences with all the modern comforts.

What dates are available?

Because each retreat is customized, availability depends on your dates, group size, and lodging needs. Submit your details via Request Info, and our team will respond with the best available options.

Where are you located?

We can accommodate 850 guests, with a variety of lodging options to choose from.

What activities do you provide?

Trail’s End is recognized as one of the top summer camp facilities in the US. As such, we have a wide range of activities including Outdoor Adventure, lake, tennis, flag football, basketball, golf range, pool, creativity center, and more. We have numerous customizable activities to enhance your guests’ experience.

Do you provide alcohol?

We do not provide alcohol, but we are more than happy to assist you with the purchasing of your alcohol and finding bartenders to hire for your event.

Do you cater to dietary needs?

Yes, we cater to most allergies and dietary needs.

Can we bring in an outside caterer?

While we have expert in-house chefs that can tailor to you and your guest needs, some hosts may choose to bring in an outside caterer. You are more than welcome to bring in your own caterer, however, a fee may apply. Learn more about our Dining & Catering options.

What is the facility fee?

We do not have a facility fee. Our pricing is per guest and varies based on the type of event. For specific questions about pricing for your event, please contact us.

Do you provide linens?

Bed linens and full towel service are available.

What happens if it rains?

In the event of inclement weather, we have plenty of both covered and indoor facilities. We will help you to build a program, prior to your arrival, in the unlikely event that it rains during your event.

Do you provide medical care and where is the nearest hospital?

While we don’t have on-site medical care, there is an urgent care facility that is a 10 minute drive and Wayne Memorial Hospital is a 15 minute drive.

Is there internet access?

Yes, we do have free wireless internet throughout our campus.

Is there Audio Visual available?

We can assist with your AV needs and have speakers, screens and microphones available at an additional cost.

Not even sure where to being with how amazing Trails End was for our wedding weekend! From the start of planning, all the way to the final goodbyes. Monica and Sarah were super helpful through the entire planning process, and the rest of the staff was super fun to work with once we got to the wedding weekend. Our “not so outdoorsy” guests were beyond happy to find resort-like accommodations for their weekend stay, while our “super outdoorsy” guests were excited to feel like they were kids again at summer camp!

I had a special birthday party at Trail’s End is it was SENSATIONAL! The food, the staff, the accommodations, the facilities, the planning process, everything was 5 stars! My friends were blown away as well. We made so many incredible memories at the coolest spot – CAMP. The planning and the scheduling was just perfect. They were so accommodating to all of our unique needs and requests. Camp was so buttoned up and they didn’t miss a beat. It was the best experience. I could cry just thinking about it. I can’t say enough good things about having an event at Trail’s End. We might have to do it again at the next milestone birthday!
